Established in 2012, Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus is Ireland’s only all-male choir offering a fresh approach to choral singing. Over the years, we have sung a wide variety of music — from classic to popular, a selection of hits from musicals & movies, and everything in between. Each year we have two official events: a Summer Concert & an annual sell-out Christmas Concert. We currently have a membership of 40+ fabulous gents led by our Musical Director, David O’Shea. We are inclusive & diverse.
We have performed for the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, and the Australian Ambassador to Ireland as well as fundraising for the Marriage Equality referendum in 2015, making Ireland the first country in the world to legalise marriage for same-sex couples by popular vote. Our first involvement with Various Voices was 2015 in Dublin, followed by Munich in 2018. We have also performed at Hand-in-Hand Cardiff in 2019 and will be attending next year’s event in Bristol.
