The Regenbogenchor München was founded in 2004 and is Munich‘s only SATB queer (LGBT+ and friends) chamber choir. Its repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the present and sets musical signs for diversity, acceptance and togetherness – with performances at queer events, in concerts, at festivals and at other cultural events.
In the course of the year 2022 the Regenbogenchor München participated in the Monaccord Festival in Munich and managed to have two great performances even without our professional conductor but with people who stepped in and made this a very special experience. Our choir performs in the Munich Pride church service every year. Also we try to sing for elderly at a nursing home every year. We cooperate with other choirs and orchestras for performing larger choir-orchestral repertoire.
