We are a mixed Copenhagen-based choir originally mostly comprising lesbians and gays. With more than 25 members and more than 25 years history the repertoire consists of older and newer songs of different genres in harmonic arrangements.
We focus on sounding good and the “hygge” (you know the Danish brand word for being cosy together) thurday evenings when we rehearse in the crypt of a Copenhagen church. It is not so dramatic as it may seem – the same locale houses baby-yoga and other congregation based activities in the daytime.
De Homofone participate in pride-events when possible and after the last couple of years we welcome back the possibility for giving concerts and performances again.
