Sweet & Power is a women’s choir from Bern, founded in 1996. 20 women are currently singing, some since the beginning. Our repertoire is stylistically colourful – from melancholic to lively – and always multilingual. In addition to well-known pop songs, chansons and folk songs, we also like to dig up lesser-known songs and give them a new twist with our own arrangement. Since 2016, we have been working with director Isabelle Ritter.
Since its beginnings, Sweet & Power has not missed one single Various Voices Festival and we still look almost as young and fresh as we did in Berlin in 2001. We are eager to see if we can finally achieve the perfect performance in Bologna that we have been aiming for for 27 years now!
